Cancellation Policy
This Policy applies to recurring NIYAM software subscriptions. NIYAM is a digital service, so cancellation concerns future subscription renewal rather than return or cancellation of a physical shipment.
1. Recurring subscriptions
A recurring subscription renews for the billing cycle shown at checkout until an authorised subscription manager cancels it. The subscription screen and order confirmation identify the active plan, current paid period and next renewal date.
2. How to cancel
An authorised subscription manager can use the cancellation control in NIYAM subscription settings. If the control is unavailable, email support@niyam.app from the registered account email and include the workspace name and subscription or invoice reference.
Removing a payment method, uninstalling an app, deleting a browser session, or simply stopping use does not cancel a subscription.
3. When cancellation takes effect
A standard cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period. It stops the next renewal, while paid access ordinarily remains available until the effective cancellation date shown in the confirmation.
Submit the request before the next renewal is processed. If the payment provider has already captured the renewal, that transaction is treated as the new paid billing period and any request for money to be returned is considered under the Refund Policy.
4. Cancellation confirmation
A cancellation is recorded only when NIYAM displays or sends a confirmation. The confirmation should identify the subscription status and effective date. Contact support promptly if the expected confirmation is not received.
5. Trials
Where a trial is set to convert automatically into a paid plan, it must be cancelled before the trial-end date shown in the account to prevent the first paid renewal. A trial that does not automatically convert ends without a subscription charge.
6. Access, data and account closure
Cancellation of a paid plan is not the same as immediate account or workspace deletion. Plan access changes at the effective cancellation date. Requests concerning export, deletion or continued retention of workspace data are handled separately under the Terms and Privacy Policy and may require workspace-owner verification.
7. Refunds are handled separately
Cancellation does not automatically create a full or prorated refund for the current billing period. Review the separate Refund Policy for eligibility, request information and processing timelines.
8. Mandatory rights
Nothing in this Policy limits cancellation or complaint rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
