Understands the request
MCP, without theprotocol fog.
MCP gives an AI assistant a standard way to request a supported NIYAM tool. Your role, grant and confirmations stay inside NIYAM.
Matches an allowed tool
Checks and performs
From a question to a controlled result.
The protocol is the bridge. NIYAM remains the gatekeeper and system of record.
- 01 · Ask
You describe the job
Use ordinary language in ChatGPT or Claude.
- 02 · Match
MCP matches a tool
The host sees the supported NIYAM tool schema—not your whole workspace.
- 03 · Check
NIYAM enforces access
Membership, workspace, role, permission and connection grant are checked.
- 04 · Return
Answer or proposal returns
Reads return evidence. Sensitive writes return a proposal for confirmation.
Three layers. One clear boundary.
A quick mental model for reading any MCP setup guide.
Understands intent
It turns your question into a request for a supported NIYAM tool.
Carries structure
It describes available tools and carries typed requests and results.
Owns the decision
It enforces access, reads records and controls every confirmed write.
Use the same NIYAM boundary where you already work.
Explore the assisted conversation and server-side API paths for each provider.
Conversation speed. NIYAM control.
Ask in chat. NIYAM checks access. You confirm sensitive changes.
Your role still applies
MCP never widens what the active NIYAM member can access.
Tools stay selected
The connection grant must allow each supported tool and permission.
Sensitive writes pause
NIYAM prepares the exact change and waits for explicit confirmation.
Know the boundary before you connect.
The short version of access, confirmation and current availability.
What does MCP stand for?
MCP stands for Model Context Protocol. It gives an AI host a standard way to discover and request supported tools from a remote service such as NIYAM.
Does MCP copy my whole NIYAM workspace into an assistant?
No. The host sees supported tool descriptions. NIYAM checks the active member, workspace, role, permission and connection grant before returning permitted data.
What happens when a request would change a record?
Supported sensitive changes are prepared first. NIYAM returns the proposed action for review and requires an explicit confirmed tool before saving it.
Is MCP the same as an AI model?
No. ChatGPT or Claude is the AI host. MCP is the connection pattern, and NIYAM remains the system that owns permissions, records and confirmations.
